Our Neighbors

We Mainers are an independent, self-reliant lot — a good cultural match for oyster farming which lends itself well to solo or family operations.

Nevertheless, the oyster farmers of Robinhood Cove are always there for each other in emergencies (even though this is perhaps America’s Least Deadly Catch), and when joint cooperative activity makes practical sense.

We share large equipment (like our tumbler, wet storage float, and mooring barge) and we partner up to do the heaviest work — pulling our gear off the bottom in Spring.

As the largest farm in the Cove, and with waterfront access, Eros serves as the anchor farm and dealer/shipper for our neighbors’ oysters, lobsters, and clams.

Here’s a shout out to our good neighbors– the Merry Men and Women of Robinhood Cove.
